Illustrations inspired by the flora, fauna, and fairytale of the Canadian Rockies.
I've spent almost my entire adult life in the Canadian Rockies, but took a break from drawing for about 5 years when I first moved to the Banff. When I picked up my pens and markers again, the mountains planted a seed crystal in my imagination that inspires these illustrations featuring foxes, bears, wolverines, herons, turtles, etc. Some familiar and some rare. Each illustration makes me feel a little more connected to my Indigenous heritage as a member of the Bearskin Lake First Nation (I was raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario).
When I began sharing my artwork, one of the most accessible ways I found for young people to enjoy it was in the form of stickers. From there, I expanded my product line with art prints, enamel pins, and various stationery.
